Ayurvedic Massaging

Find a cure the traditional and natural way through Ayurveda.  Ayurveda has been in operation for thousands of years evolving from India and it is no stranger to Sri Lanka. There are plenty of Ayurvedic centers and spa’s around Sri Lanka including special Ayurvedic hotels where one can heal in pure luxury. Ayurveda is a set of guidelines that practice good health the natural way. It also brings your body and mind in harmony with each other. Although it developed thousands of years ago before modern technology and science   in today’s world it has now become a popular way of staying healthy and detoxifying your body.

Ayurveda is very popular in Sri Lanka and is a holistic system of medicine and it cleanses the whole body internally and externally. It is the best way to detoxify or recover. Most spa’s offer Ayurvedic massages where they concentrate on making the blood flow to all lymphatic nodes using traditional oils derived from herbs.  They also have plenty of other treatments using herbs and traditional medicine aimed to cleanse and heal your system. It is also a practice of mental as well as physical wellbeing.
Sri Lanka has some beautiful Ayurvedic spa’s including resorts where one can really throw themselves into this ancient natural healing system. These resorts are usually near the beach however you do get a few in the hill country as well as other stunning locations. Ayurveda also teaches the practice of meditation and gentle yoga for complete well being so a few days in the Ayurveda resort means a few days to a complete cleaning of your body and mind.
If Ayurvedic resorts are not your thing then there are plenty of Ayurvedic massaging centers and doctors who will prescribe cures the natural ancient way. This is a very common practice in Sri Lanka so therefore doctors as well as massaging centers are easy to find and numerous. The better reputed ones are situated in the heart of Colombo such as Sidhalepa which is the most famous Ayurvedic centre in Sri Lanka and has its own exclusive spa and a line of products.
