Booking Policy & Condition

Terms and conditions |  Privacy policy

Your booking contract is with XGen Management Group (Pty) Ltd and its affiliate companies to provide services to the person (s) ("the User", "You") intending to purchase or inquiring for any products and/ or services of XGen by using XGen's websites i.e. GoVisitSriLanka.com or using any other customer interface channels of XGen which includes its sales persons, offices, call centers, advertisements, information campaigns etc.

Any use of the GoVisitSriLanka.com website, or written communication with us, for the purposes of traveling to or within Sri Lanka, confirms that you are aged 18 or over and that you have read and fully accepted these booking conditions. These booking conditions are devised for the protection of all parties.

You agree to make payment at the time of booking via a debit to your nominated credit card. The amount debited will (subject to the following) be the amount shown on our booking page prior to you clicking the "Pay Now" button on that page. Depending upon the currency of the booking, your credit card's currency and the country in which your card was issued, your credit card provider may impose foreign exchange fees and other fees which are in accordance with your arrangements with that credit card provider.

You will receive an email confirming your payment and temporarily confirming the room booked. And within 8 Sri Lankan working hours you will receive an eVoucher guaranteeing the booked room. This is done in line with the "no surprises policy" to ensure the need for any special requirements are met and to guarantee the booking made with the service provider.

Your booking will be confirmed by receiving the eVoucher in your assigned email address and the payment confirms that you accept our booking and booking conditions.

I. Total amount will be blocked in your credit card until a date stated by the property, according to the property's cancellation policy.
II. Amount will be credited to the respective property according to its cancellation policy.
III. Exchange rates are based on live on-day rates at time of booking and are not subject to change.

Requirement at Check - In
As a policy we do not provide your credit card details to any provider of accommodation or service. Therefore you will be required to provide a credit card imprint at check-in to cover incidental charges. As mention above, the person registering at check-in must be at least 18 years of age. In addition, to eliminate identity fraud, the accommodation provider will ask you to provide photo ID at check-in to ensure that your identity matches the booking identity. A record and/or copy of this photo ID may be retained by the accommodation provider to minimise the risk of fraudulent credit card usage and for verification purposes with your credit card provider in the event of disputation. This identification information may be supplied to us by the accommodation provider in the event of a credit card dispute.

XGEN is committed to protect your booking. But we reserve the right to cancel your booking in any incidence of Force Majeure (see below). In this event we will return all money paid by you and, wherever possible, offer an alternative booking of comparable type and quality for your consideration. We cannot be held liable for any secondary expenses that you may incur during arrangements for a booking that is subsequently cancelled by us.


  • In the event of a cancellation, in whole or part, we voluntarily return all possible recoverable costs.
  • Cancelation terms that may apply from the property will be displayed at the time of booking and will provide the basis for a refund.
  • Other cancellation refunds are determined on a case-by-case basis. We do not refund for early checkouts or no-shows.
  • Any individual wishing to cancel a booking with XGEN must immediately notify us by emailing bookings@govisitsrilanka.com.
  • The User shall request XGen for any refunds against the unutilized or 'no show' for any reasons within 90 days from the date of check in for the hotel booking. Any applicable refunds would accordingly be processed as per the defined policies of the property and XGen. No refund would be payable for any requests made after 90 days and all unclaimed amounts for such unutilized or 'no show' bookings shall be deemed to have been forfeited.


The travel bookings done by XGen are subject to the applicable requirements of Visa which are to be obtained by the individual traveler. XGen is not responsible for any issues, including inability to travel, arising out of such Visa requirements and is also not liable to refund for the untraveled bookings due to any such reason.

Once a booking is finalized, changes to it will always be considered, but they may incur cancellation charges. We will do our best to assist you, but cannot guarantee that changes can be made. Please note that:

  • Bookings at certain accommodation providers, or in certain time periods, or for certain room types cannot be cancelled or changed; and
  • Some accommodation providers may permit cancellations or changes but this may involve that accommodation provider imposing a charge, and this information will be displayed (see cancellation policy) on the relevant accommodation details page and the booking page, which you access prior to making a booking. In addition, we apply an administration charge to all booking changes and permitted cancellations. The administration charge will be 10% of the total invoice amount shown on our booking page prior to you clicking the "Pay Now" button on that page.,


All information provided by you should be true and accurate. We will treat it confidentially and will not forward it to any third party. We do not spam, supply mailing lists or use it in any way other than to secure your booking. We have a strict anti-fraud policy and take responsible steps to protect personal information accordance with our privacy policy.

We make every effort to ensure all accommodation information displayed on the Site is accurate; however, as considerable information is accessed from our accommodation provider and their sites, we are unable to guarantee the accuracy of all information nor we able to guarantee that the Site is free of errors or faults. We reserve the right to change accommodation information displayed on the Site (including these terms and conditions) at any time without notice to you

We cannot accept responsibility for Force Majeure - defined in these booking conditions as any specific event which we, as the supplier of the services, could not reasonably have foreseen, influenced or avoided. These include war, or threat of war, riots, civil strife, terrorism, contamination, extreme or unusual weather conditions, volcanic eruptions, industrial disputes, changes to sports itineraries, natural and nuclear disasters, fire, flight cancellations or rescheduling by airlines or any similar event beyond our control.

Without affecting any statutory consumer rights that cannot be lawfully excluded or limited: a) we will not be liable for any losses, damages, liability, claims or expenses (howsoever caused, including negligence, and whether direct, indirect or consequential) arising from the use of or connected with the Site or any products or services purchased on the Site, and b) we make no warranty or representation as to the fitness or suitability of any product or service displayed on the Site or any linked site. Where our liability cannot be excluded, to the extent permitted by law such liability is limited to either: (i) for breach of implied terms, at our option, to resupply the service or the cost of resupplying the service; or (ii) otherwise, to the value of the booking made. We sell accommodation from inventory supplied by each accommodation provider and we do not over-sell that inventory. We cannot accept additional liability for unavailability caused by an accommodation provider over-selling its own inventory

Should you, or any member of your group, suffer loss of baggage or valuables, serious illness, personal injury or death during your holiday, we will provide sympathetic advice and guidance but will not be held responsible for. This must be carried out in conjunction with your personal travel insurance policy.

These terms and conditions are governed by the laws of Victoria, Australia. We receive payments from our accommodation suppliers for the provision of our booking service. All references to "we", "our", "GoVisitSriLanka.com", "XGen" and "us" are references to XGen Management Group Pty Ltd ACN 136 713 329.
